Delete Your TrailTreks Account

You can delete your TrailTreks: NZ Topo Maps account and the data linked to it at any time, in the app or by emailing us. You don't need the app installed to ask us to delete your account.

Option 1: Delete your account in the app

1. Open TrailTreks and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Go to Settings, then Account.
3. Tap "Delete Account".
4. Confirm "Delete account?" by tapping "Delete", then confirm "Are you sure?" by tapping "Delete permanently".

Deleting your account in the app removes your profile and the content you have shared. Beacon sessions and positions, and alert and notification data held on our alerts server, are not yet removed automatically by the app. To have these deleted, use Option 2 as well.

Option 2: Ask us by email

If you can't use the app, or have already uninstalled it, email trailtreksmobile@icqz.net from the email address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my TrailTreks account". We use that address to check the request is from you. We will confirm the request and delete your account and data within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your account and profile.
• Tracks, markers and places you have shared.
• Location Beaconing sessions and positions.
• Alert watches and your notification registration.

What is kept

• PLUS purchase records, for as long as needed to manage your subscription and meet tax and accounting obligations.
• Crash reports and usage statistics already sent to Google (Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics). These are held by Google for its retention period and can't be removed from the app. Email us if you would like them deleted.
• Maps, recorded tracks and other content stored on your device stay there until you remove them or uninstall the app.
• Our emails with you about the request, as a record that it was made.

If you have PLUS

Deleting your account doesn't cancel your PLUS subscription. Cancel it in your App Store account settings or Google Play subscriptions before you delete your account, as we can't cancel it for you.
